Please enjoy the video that Michael Lucas from www.collagist.weebly.com and I created for the amazing band A Mad Affair. This is a song off of their new album "Retro Honey Pop." We've been working on this video since July! It was quite an honor to help the band's vision, of seeing themselves as muppets, come to fruition. If you would like to know more about the band, check them out at http://www.amadaffair.com. If you would like to know more about having Michael and I create a video for you, please connect through by communication page. Love & Light The mind follows the breath. The key to controlling the mind is in controlling the breath.
Pranayam is the science of breath, controlling the movement of prana through the use of breathing techniques. Prana = the life force Pran = first unit Ayam = expansion With pranayam we expand the first unit, the seed energy. A slight change in this seed vibration can change our entire universe. Twigs & Yarn are an amazing duo who I had the honor of creating a music video for. To me, their music lies somewhere between a dream and awake state. When I was creating and conceptualizing the video, I wanted to take the viewer to that place. I often have long periods of drifting in and out of these phases when I first wake up in the morning. If I'm not in a rush, I can let these lines blur for hours. Images in my dreams often drift between the images in my waking life, therefore making the first hours of my day a collage of sorts. The video is now available for viewing on their website at: http://www.twigsandyarn.net/ or on vimeo at: https://vimeo.com/41458250. It's been a while since I've posted, so I thought I would share the new stuff I've been working on. I hope you enjoy!
Here's some pictures of new pieces I've been working on. Thank you Scrap Exchange for always having unique "canvases" for me to work with.
This piece is inspired by Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D.'s book Shaman, Healer, Sage: how to heal yourself and others with the energy medicine of the Americas. These pictures are all part of one piece.
Here's my newest piece. It's largely inspired byDavid Lynch Foundation and a firm belief in finding ways to feel the connection between all living things.
My newest piece was inspired by a book called Mushroom Magick with essays by Daniel Pinchbeck, Erik Davis, and notes from mycologist Gary H. Lincoff. In Daniel Pinchbeck's essay, there is a quote that says, "Growing out of rot or turd, in damp caves along dead tree stumps, mushrooms appear in worlds that lie between life and death, animal and plant." The essays in this book are equally as beautiful as the pictures. Mushrooms are amazing and wondrous biological creatures with undeniable healing powers.
